A private guest list for weddings, galas and members-only events
Send every guest a signed QR pass, check them in at the door on iPhone or iPad, and know exactly who has arrived. The guest list stays yours — no ticketing company gets a copy.
Get the appThe guest list is the private part
Who you invited is personal. With GateProof there's no event page, no public listing and no platform account holding your guests' names and contacts. Everything lives on your devices.
Guests don't download anything
Each guest receives a pass as a PDF or image — by message, email or however you already talk to them. At the door they show the QR code; nobody has to install an app or create an account.
Fake or reused passes stand out
Passes are cryptographically signed, so a made-up or edited QR code shows INVALID. A pass that's already been used shows ALREADY USED — obvious at a glance, even for a volunteer on their first shift.
Works in a field, a vineyard or a basement
Scanning is entirely local, so a weak signal at the venue doesn't matter. If you use more than one entrance, the devices sync with each other over Wi-Fi or directly.
Collect RSVPs with a form you already use
GateProof has no RSVP page, because that would need a server holding your guests' names. Instead, collect answers with Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, Tally or any form tool, ask for name, email and phone, export the responses as a spreadsheet and import it. Remove the guests who declined first; the columns are detected automatically.
How it works
- Create the event with its date and venue.
- Paste your guest list, import the spreadsheet you already keep, or pick people from your Contacts.
- Send each guest their pass through Messages, WhatsApp, email or any app in the share sheet.
- Activate the event on the day and hand a phone to whoever is at the door.
- Scan each guest in — green means welcome, amber means the pass was already used.
Questions organizers ask
How much does it cost for a wedding?
One credit per pass, and the app starts you with 40 free credits. A 150-guest wedding uses 150 credits: the 40 free ones plus packs from the App Store. No percentage, no subscription.
What if a guest forgets their pass?
Open that guest's ticket in the app and share it again, or show its QR code to the scanner at the door.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Every pass is verified on the scanning device itself, with no internet needed.
Can guests RSVP through GateProof?
Not inside the app: there is no hosted RSVP page, so no server ever holds your guest list. Collect RSVPs with a form tool you already use, export the answers as CSV or Excel and import them. Each row becomes a signed pass.
Can I add guests from my iPhone's Contacts?
Yes. In a draft event, open Import Ticket List and choose Add from Contacts. GateProof only receives the contacts you select and never gets your whole address book, and you review a summary before any pass is created.
